My stay at the hotel wasn't too bad. The room was in the souterrain with a pool table, a table kicker, and table tennis just one door away. It felt like stepping back to the seventies with unique features like a pole to hang clothes on and a sliding shower door. Despite its basic setup, it was sufficient for my expectations.

Rooms

The rooms were basic, which was just fine as I didn't expect much. The unique seventies vibe added a touch of nostalgia to the stay.
Service
9.0
The staff was extremely helpful when we forgot to put our parking ticket on the car. They were friendly, welcoming, and even offered a complimentary breakfast. I would definitely consider staying again for the value they provide.
Location

The location was good, conveniently close to the seafront, decent restaurants, and the Congress Theatre. Walking along the cliffs to Beachy Head was a delightful experience.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs. The food wasn't very hot, and I had to change tables three times during my 3-day stay. Despite the continental breakfast, which didn't cater well to my dietary needs, the nearby fish and chips option was a highlight.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel facilities were satisfactory, offering a mix of amenities like a welcome drink and pet amenities. The overall value for money was reasonable.

The hotel had its ups and downs. I found the rooms to be small, with dirty windows everywhere, and the toilets didn't flush properly. Having to walk up three flights of stairs due to the non-functioning lift was a struggle, especially with my bad hip and blood pressure. On the upside, the rooms were very hot, and the views were limited to a fire exit; overall, it was not a pleasant stay.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were very small and uncomfortable, with various issues like dirty windows and a poorly functioning toilet. The lack of proper ventilation made the rooms too hot, and the view was disappointing.

The staff, though, were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They made an effort to assist and were polite, which I appreciated.

The dining experience was satisfactory, with standard continental fare delivered to the rooms. The setup was simple, but the food was decent.
Facilities

The facilities at the hotel were lacking, with notable issues like a non-functioning lift that made getting around inconvenient. Despite this, the hotel was clean and offered basic amenities.
